Quality Thermal Transfer Printing

There are two types of thermal transfer printer i: e direct thermal and thermal transfer printing. It is the technology which is used for printing or used to produce the color images. There is a special technique which is used for producing color images by glued a wax-based ink on it onto paper. The wax which we used for printing is permanently glued on it. These are very efficient and highly reliable as having a small number of moving parts.

They use a wide variety of materials for producing long lasting images. The thermal transfer printers do not require any ribbon like thermal transfer printer labels. Now the barcode printers come in same and fixed sizes. The world first thermal transfer printer was produced in 1981. We at ebarcode provide so many barcode products with new designs and latest technologies. To get more updates for thermal transfer printing please visit once at https://www.ebarcode.com/.

What is a thermal transfer printer?

A thermal transfer printer is printers that produce labels and signs by melting wax or resin-based “ink” onto paper, tape, and even materials like heat shrink tubing. Thermal transfer printers are well suited to create barcodes and smear proof images and resistance to fading.

thermal transfer printerIts main function is print head that spans the width of measure tape or printing medium the printer are built to handle. However, the print head has controlled by a microprocessor, which gives heat to pins to activate in order to build a specific image. From this, these pins selected by a signal, which causes them to rapidly heat and cause against the ink ribbon, melting and transform the ink off its back film and onto the blank label surface.

Wax thermal transfer ribbons are the most used for printing on the paper. Basically , the images need security and wax printed labels need to stay dry and highly sensitive to chemicals and oils ,which melts wax away, whereas wax- resin compounds work with  smoothly and coated paper labels

What are the benefits of a thermal transfer printer?

•             For making barcode labels and for making clothing labels
•             Print plastic labels for chemical containers and tin packaging.
•             Its images proof for greater stability in the face of destructive elements, which proof its durability and fade resistance.

•             It also produces more accurate and easily scan-able barcodes, which formed superior barcodes that print exact bar width.

Thermal transfer printing technology

Thermal transfer printing is a digital printing process that uses heat to register an impression on paper. A microprocessor recognizes which individual heating pins is heat to form the printed image. As innovation in advanced technology continues, electronic equipment and new product design provide organizations with more options when choosing suitable function, coding and marking solutions. It is claim that it can be difficult to navigate through all the features and benefits of each technology to know which is accurate to your application needs. Therefore, thermal transfer printing changes into new white paper which known as Thermal Transfer Overprinting (TTO) technology, its advantages, and certain selection criteria to consider.

Thermal Transfer Overprinting (TTO) systems invented specifically to print directly on flexible film packaging and labels. According to others a generalist-coding technology, Thermal Transfer Overprinting has engineered to work specially on flexible substrates including reliable packaging materials and labels. TTO is a digital printing technology that tackles numerous of the deficiencies of analog printing solutions like hot stamp/hot foil and roller coder.

Facts about Thermal Transfer Printing

Thermal transfer printing is a digital printing process that uses heat to register an impression on paper. In 1981, SATO Corporation discovered it, which had made by melting a coating of ribbon so that it stays glued to the material on which the print is applied. A microprocessor recognizes which individual heating pins is heat to form the printed image. Thermal transfer printers are popular for barcode labels, making clothing labels, printing plastic labels for chemical containers, price tags, and other specialty print jobs.

The other thermal transfer printing technology used to form color images by adhering a wax-based ink onto paper.  When the paper and ribbon move to unison beneath the thermal print head, the wax- based ink travel from ribbon melts onto the paper. When cooled, the wax has permanently adhered to the paper. The thermal transfer printing technology is Xerox solid –ink printers, which is rectangular solid – state ink block that is loaded into a system similar to a stapler magazine in the top of the printer.

Best Thermal Transfer Printing

Barcode masters have been independently trained and assessed to international barcode labeling standards and whose barcode product knowledge and real world customer experience allows them to provide effective and constructive barcode and labeling. In thermal transfer printing the transfer of designs or text on to the paper is done by melting of wax within the print heads. When higher durability of printed matter is desired the thermal transfer printer is preferred rather than direct thermal printing. Thermal printing is widely used printing process in the world for printing of high quality barcodes and for printing of identification labels.

It uses mainly three components; one is non movable print head, a carbon ribbon and a substrate to be printed like paper or any other. Print heads are available in different resolution options where each dot is addressed independently and electronically addressed. A thermally complaint print head, in combined with the electrical properties of ribbon that are essential for producing a high quality printed image. Thermal Transfer Printers & Barcode Supplies

The cost of thermal transfer printer varies, depending on the size of the printer and the features and cost of the consumables such as papers, ribbons and print heads is about the same. The quality of printing is totally depending on the printer, ribbon, the paper and the environment such as where the printer is stored, the temperature and the humidity. The ribbon used in these printers is basically consisting of three layers the base material, the heat melting ink and the coating on the print side of the base material.

Monochrome and color thermal transfer printers are available.  One thing that is important is the print head should be cleaned between each of the ribbon change with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol. If we talking about direct thermal printers the images prints by burning the dots on to coated paper as it passes over the heated print head. Best Thermal Transfer Printing

Wax based ink ribbon is required in a heat transfer printer to create an image. It works in two ways depending on the printing process. The image you want to print may be inked onto the wax ribbon and applied as is through heat and direct pressure to draw images during printing it uses four colors cyan, magenta, black and yellow alternatively. Thermal transfer printing is more useful for some of the printing situations like photo realistic images. It is very good in applying images to the material that include garment and textile and printing well on paper due to its inkjet counterpart.

Thermal based printing methods work with pre printed images on a single wax sheet or produced printed images made by layered wax dye on to the object. It can replace alternative printing methods. Colors on Request Thermal Transfer Printing

A digital printing process is that in which material is applied to the paper and can be used to produce color images. These types of printers use heat to transfer an image from wax to an object and require a wax based ink ribbon to create an image. In the initial process ribbon is pressed against printing object and heating the opposite side until the ink melts off the ribbon. Thermal transfer printing is more useful for some printing situations than others like produces high quality colorful prints of photo realistic images.

This quality makes it useful for digital photography prints and adding prints on fabrics such as athletic uniform numbers. Thermal transfer printers are durable, they works well when the printed object is exposed to the element. This printing is recommended for labels and paper that needs to last more than half a year. Benefits of Thermal Transfer Printing

People are often confused that which type of printer better suits to their needs. Today dual mode printers are also available means they can print both thermal transfer and direct thermal. Thermal transfer printing requires the use of carbon ribbons which get transferred on to the substrate via heat. User is not limited to black print because ribbons can be of different colors.  The printing is very crisp and durable so this method is excellent for high density bar codes and labels that require longevity.

Other benefit of these printers is that you can print on paper, film and even foil substrates. Labels are subjected to heat or sunlight and have a shelf life of over 1 year. If you want to print graphics or high density barcodes then you have to consider only high resolution Thermal transfer printing. If your printers have no access to PC then you have to consider remote system. These systems utilize a key pad, optional battery pack. Benefits of Thermal Transfer Printing

Thermal label printers are mainly used for barcode printing because they produce accurate, high quality images with excellent edge definition. These are specially designed to print within tight tolerances and to produce the exact bar width that a successful barcode printing and scanning require. Thermal Transfer printers can accept a wider variety of media than direct thermal models, including paper, polyester and polypropylene materials. Thermal Transfer printing is used to create asset tags, certification labels, common labels and archival quality labels to with stand temperature extremes, sterilization and more.

It is a digital printing process in which material is applied to paper by melting a coating on ribbon. In this process, a thermal print head applies heat to ribbon, which melts ink on to the material to form heat while in direct thermal printing no ribbon is used, which creates the image directly on the printed material. If you want barcode ribbons or any other supplies for printing then you can visit at ebarcode.com and get all these at low price.
